Graphic 45 Home Sweet Home Recipe Holder

It has been a long time between posts and I would like to share an album I have just completed following an amazing video by Anne (http://www.annespapercreations.com/2015/06/how-to-make-home-sweet-home-recipe-_22.html). Her videos are so detailed and so easy to follow.
Below are some photos from my finished album. I used both the 12x12 and 8x8 G45 Home Sweet
Home Collections and also the 6x6 Patterns and Solid papers.

Front cover of album has the main image fussy cut from the Home Sweet Home 12x12 sheet with
added fussy cut images from several other papers in the collection including: Garden Fresh,
Country Life, Apple Pie and Farmer's Market.

Back cover has the border from the 12x12 Home Sweet Home paper, and the background from the
Farmer's Market sheet. Fussy cut  images from a several pages (listed above) were also
included at the base of the back cover.

The spine was covered from a strip of the Farmer's Market sheet and bordered with strips cut from the 12x12 Country Life paper.

The inside of the album has a pocket on the left of the inside cover as well as a small clipboard that I bought from Officeworks, covered with G45My Sunshine 12x12 paper and attached with strong magnets. The clipboard also has a small notebook for shopping lists. The inside of the album cover has been covered with 12x12 Handmade paper sheet, trimmed at the bottom with a strip of chickens from the Country Life 12x12 paper sheet.

The right hand side of the album has a set of 'flip out' recipe/photo cards all held together with magnets and decorated with fussy cut images from the collection (12x12, 8x8). In addition to the 6x6 papers, some solid coloured card stock was also used. To ensure that the fold out section is able to hold the flip out section (especially when photos are added),  I have glued a ribbon
to a small metallic spoon that is then looped through a (Kaisercraft) ring that has been glued just above the flip out section.

The following photos show some of  the decorated 'flip out' sections:

I better get a move on!

It is December already and I've hardly even started my Christmas Cards! My first attempt is shown below. I decided to give it a try after seeing one of the LaLa Land group members post a card with a Christmas tree made in this way using the LaLa Land Filigree Corner die (http://www.lalalandcrafts.com/DIES_c27.htm). I am quite happy with the way it turned out and it only took 16 pieces to make it!

The card below is one I made for a friend of mine that was attending a 30th "Red Carpet" Birthday. She asked me to put a card together for her and this is the result! The image is by Krista at Saturated Canary (http://saturated-canary.myshopify.com/) - Krista is truly talented!!
The image was coloured with Copics. I also made a small box to go with it but unfortunately didn't take a picture. The box was in the same colours as the card with a matching ribbon and flower. My friend was very pleased :)

The next two cards were made using Magnolia stamps (they are soo cute!!). I picked orange and purple - (pretty daring for me!) -  but  I think they turned out quite well!

Hope you enjoyed having a look at what  have been up to - have a great day!!
Cheers,
Marina

It has been a while.......

It has been a while since I posted on my blog + I had issues with posting from my iPad so I think it is time to update!!
Below are two more of my LaLa Land images that I had recently coloured and made into cards.
Mermaid Marci was made into a card after attending a card making class at Seriously Scrapbooking that used the beautiful K&Co papers.

I just LOVE Koala Marci!! So when my daughter was heading off to Japan, I thought it would be a great image to use on a thank you card for her host family!  It took me a while to finish the card so
we may need to send it in the mail...lol

LaLa Land Crafts Group Challenge and More!

I created this card for the fun challenge Irina set for the ladies in our Facebook group. We had to use a dot technique to colour our images. It was a lot of fun; I had never tried this before but will certainly use it in the future!

I seem to be in a monochrome mood!!! Here are another couple of cards made recently:
